Hi, I’m Jose Villegas.

I’m a Junior in college and I’ve attended UNT for the last 2 1/2 years. After completing most of my degree specific classes, I decided to take my core classes at San Antonio College.

I was born and raised in San Antonio. I grew up loving music ever since I was a child. During middle school I was assigned the Trombone and decided to make that my career due to my love of music. During middle and high school, I participated in UIL region auditions including solo & ensemble, along with auditions for the Youth Orchestra of San Antonio (Y.O.S.A.). I was a member of Y.O.S.A. for four years, the last two being in the Philharmonic Orchestra. Saying all of this I deeply understand the Texas Audition Process.

I would ultimately like to end up in a professional Orchestra as well as be a Prof. at a big music University.

My methodology

I believe every student deserves a great deal of dedication and attention. Due to the individual nature of people, it is important that lesson teachers do not have a “one size fits all” attitude and instead has a flexible attitude that caters to the needs of the student.
